Natures Structure
This piece is based off the structure of a pine cone with the rooms sticking out.
On the top left you can see that I started out by gluing sticks together to make a thick platform for the floor and roof. The top right image are shorter but longer platforms for the sides. I glued them all together to make small rooms. I then cut three holes in a paper towel roll to insert half of the room so they stick outward. After putting them in that I added some framing around them to
After placing siding along the paper towel roll I worked on the roof. I used two different kinds of sticks to create some contrast. I then put shingling to make an overlap. Once I was done with the roof I attached it to the top
After everything was glued together I took a torch and scorched the outside to darken the wood.
These are the final images of the piece.
